    Default luxor polishing compound

Could a person use luxor polishing compund as a strop paste? It can be purchased through just about any jeweler's supply company from 6.5 micron grit to as fine as 0.1 micron grit.

I think it could be an interesting experiment, but I wouldn't go putting it on my nice strop right off the bat.... maybe make some denim or leather strips and do some testing.

Other guys might have actual experience with the stuff, or know more about it than I do. (I have NO prior knowledge of this product)

I'd say it's worth a shot. Chrome Ox is in some buffing compounds, and that gets used as a strop paste. If it can make your blade shiny, it should make your bevel shiny too, right? That's just my totally informed way of looking at it.

I know for a fact the old Adams#2 gives great result stropping, it seems to be finer than CrO.
It is possible that what you have works too, just give it a try.
