I dont know the grit and I got one to use for practice on some razors i bought from an antique store. The idea being that i needed a very low grit to get rid of chips and such.

Use it with caution... If it is like the one I have
it is OK for an ax with a small chip on it. My caution is
that it may be too coarse and would micro-chip a hard razor.

The fine side may have a place but do not think of it as 'fine'
in the context of razors depending on what it really is I would
guestimate it is a 280 grit on the fine side and 100 grit on the other.....

Try it and tell us what you learn.
