    Default question about a stone

Alright its been a little bit since I been here so before the question... Hello everybody, how are ya. Now I have questions about a few of my stones now I have had them for a while and get great results using them. One is a "Raven" and the other is a "Union" does anybody know anything about them at all because I cant find any info. grit, country of origin, anything at all. To be honest my main reason for asking is because I saw a "Raven" on e-bay as a buy it now deal for $350 and I like the stone alot but thats seems way to expensive.
Thanks in advance for any help

By the names, I am assuming they are barber hones. If this is the case, I would say they are worth $350 is ridiculous, unless it is rare and collectible, in which case the collectors who would pay that much are ridiculous ;-p.

If you are getting good results, meaning that you are getting great shaves off of them, then I would estimate they are 8k or higher. The only way to get a better idea than that is to compare to hones of known grit.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Anyone seriously attempting to get $350 for a stone will be very happy to explain why it's worth so much. Eager, in fact.
