Any info on ZeepK barber Hones
Has anyone used, know anything about, or had any experience with the ZeepK barber hones.
Although I'm still in the research process, I'm only interested in touching up my razor. would this stone do the trick, or is it junk?
Thanks

re-Zeepk
It is better to avoid anything Zeepk...There are plenty of old hones out there you can pick up for a lil bit of nothing on ebay...But, take it from a guy who learned the hard way..After years of using hones, I switched to some stones and now I take a fraction of the time. It is worth the investment, and you don't need to spend a mint to get have a couple to get you going. I just use the cheaper "King" stones and my razors are good to go (for me anyway).

Thanked: 235I have not used a Zeepk hone, but I understand that anything branded with the Zeepk name only good for use as either a paper weight or a letter opener.

Yeah I've heard terrible things about their razor, but I wasn't sure if the hones where any good. Can you suggest any good websites to look for hones, or king hones cause ebay hasn't turned up anything but the zeepk's products

Avoid Zeepk full stop.
Info on King hones: Japanese Waterstones: King and Sun Tiger
And for sale here: The Japan Woodworker Catalog - Finishing & Polishing Stones
If you like buying them on ebay: ebay.de is full with King hones as they are very popular in the Heimat:
eBay: king Wasserstein, Möbel WohnenLast edited by Kees; 02-14-2010 at 10:03 AM.
