Default Any opinions on this Hone?

    it's on amazon here:

    http://www.amazon.com/Woodstock-D113...192511&sr=1-69

and apparently is sold by grizzly.

seems like a pretty decent deal for an edge straightener??

any info/opinions would be most appreciated!!

    Default grizzly hone

The customer reviews seem pretty consistently positive for this hone. I use a similar progression..1200/6000 ..it works but I often wish I had something in the 3000/4000 range in between. Not having it makes for a lot work at 6000 sometimes. Nothing at all wrong with the price either. By the way, Woodcraft offers pretty much the same stone at the same kind of money.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

here's the link to the grizzly listing - G4233 Japanese Water Combo Stone - 1000/6000 Grit

also, just fyi, if it's similar in size to the other stones in that series it's about 8" x 2.75"...
