Thanked: 1371Polish / finish of Chinese 12k vs. Naniwa 12K
I am looking for some opinions on the quality of finish of the Chinese 12k vs. the Naniwa 12k...
I realize that the Chinese is a very slow cutter. That is not a concern for me. I just want to know if it will produce as good of a quality finish.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

IME the Naniwa is a better finisher. Quicker and I like the edges off of it better. I have to add that although I've got the chinese '12'k I haven't used it nearly as much as other members. Probably because I had better alternatives but I would still pick the naniwa without reservation. Others may have a different experience but that is mine.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 27The Naniwa's finish is slightly hazy but very smooth, the CH12k is more shiny but scratchy. The Naniwa is much better overall.

I'm almost positive someone at the NYC meet this weekend is bringing an Nani 12k, so I'll bring my C12k and try to compare. I'm sure with all the shavers and razors that will be there we can work something out. No promises, though.
