This is the set that most of us started with, and honestly you really don't need anything more than it to shave...

You might want more stuff but ya don't need it

Here is a true honing hint,,, If you can't get a comfortable shave off a Norton 8k you need more practice honing not more stones
The only problem, as I see it, is that shipping supposedly takes 1-2 months.

That seems like an awfully long time to ship an order on amazon.com.

I would contact Amazon to ask for sure, but this is what it says in the shipping popup

    5. Select Super Saver Shipping as your shipping speed. Once your items are available, your order will be delivered within 5-9 business days.

That "1-2 months" very well could be a mis-print because I don't see complaints about it in the reviews

I bought mine from these guys.

Norton Waterstones - Peachtree Woodworking Supply

Not sure bout shipping cuz it was Christmas time and we went and picked it up in person while visiting family. But the deal can't be beat. Call them and ask them about shipping. That is what keep me away from Amazon. They are very nice and may hook you up. In stock, means they could drop one in the mail for you come monday. You could have by wednesday the 3rd. I love my set. Good luck.

Although this set is all you need, it will not be all you want!! LOL
