Thanked: 530Naniwa Color Change?
So, I know that the last 12k I saw (from Naniwa) was a salmon color... Well, I just got my Naniwa 12k from SRD, and it is white with small black speckles... I know it's a 12k, both the box, and the number printed on the lower edge of the stone attest to that... Yet it is a different color...
Is the 12k the only one that got it's color changed lately, or are there more? And does anyone know why the color was changed?
Just curious.
Cheers!
Jeremy

I have the same stone, it is white. I freaked out when I got mine because I was looking for a pinkish stone when I opened the box and it wasn't! I looked up online about the color change, that was a relief. Make sure you clean the Naniwa by lapping it often, I clean mine every time I hone with it. It's a great finisher!

My 12k is white. I also found that the speckles become more pronounced as you lap the stone.
