Default Bought it, but what is it?!

Thanks in advance for the help. I spotted this one for sale on eBay and decided to purchase it. Yes, I have no idea what it is. Yes, it wasn't even for sale as a razor hone, so it could be completely useless. On the other hand, doesn't that kind of look like a razor hone in the photos? And who carves a whole stand out of walnut just for a pocketknife hone?

Anyway, I don't even have the hone in my hands yet, but I know how much accumulated wisdom is floating around here on a regular basis, so I thought I'd post the photos and ask for your help -- does anyone have any good ideas about what this is that I just bought? Thanks!! --Jeff

Forgot to add this too -- it is definitely a hone of some kind, as that's how the seller identified it, so please no jokes about my purchasing a piece of petrified dog poop. And I didn't mean to sound completely irresponsible, but the price was only $12.50.

Of course not. Coprolites are no joking matter. Well, maybe... You have to lap forever to get the striations out!

    Talking

Yea, I've been suffering with this HAD thing for a while. Ever since I realized that it's really not the razor but the honing that makes the shave, I've been going through hone listings on eBay like Indiana Jones in an Incan burial site. Every stone I see looks like something worth trying, at least until I buy it and get it home -- some of them are worse for sharpening razors than my driveway. Anyway, this one looked shiny and well-cared-for, so I bought it! If that's HAD, then I don't want to be cured!!

Dwarven, if I get it and can't use it, I will offer it to you first. Agreed that it looks interesting, but who can tell anything from these photos. Anyway, I'll let you know when it comes in. --Jeff

I would say it looks like stones used for caligraphy. The rest hard to say from the pics.
