    Default Japanese whetstone

I just bought a japanese whetstone and would like some extra knowledge . It is dated 1929 on the bottom of the stand it is a finishing hone for razors and has a drawer to place a razor inside the stand . The person has just sold a Narutaki exactly the same but it had a sticker but he said this one is nearly identical with the exact same stand. I have read that the japanese natural whetstones from this mine are the best in the world. Any information would be appreciated. I dont have the stone yet and will post a picture soon as I get it.

Yes the darker stone, I knew the lighter stone with the label would sell for alot more being new old stock . I think I did very well , I also bought the dragon handle razor. I will add pictures soon as I get the stuff.

This thread is such a tease. All this talk about Japanese stones... with no pictures?? (There should be a law.)
