Thanked: 324Mystery Hones. Three nice stones.
Here are my "mystery hones". I don't know what they are but all three are really nice stones and each very different. First is probably the most beautiful stone I own. It's got wonderful brindle colors and is an extremely fast cutter, although not as quite as fine a finisher as the other two, at least as far as I can tell just yet.
Next is a grayish greenish stone that is very fine and rather small about 4" x 1-1/4. It feels much like a fairly soft Escher and may, in fact, be one, but I don't know.
And last, but not least is a stone unlike I've ever seen before. It's got great character and pattern and is a very fine grit hone, indeed. Seems slow cutting but very very fine.
