    Default My hone sets

So I was just organizing my hones and stones and thought I'd let you guys know my set up. Maybe get some tips on what else I might need.

    So here's what I have.

An old whetstone combo. Probbaly around the 220/1000 range.

A lansky knife sharpening kit going from 100-1000

A Arashiyama 6000 grit Japanese hone

And a Belgian coti with slurry stone.

I know the first two can't be really used to hone unless I'm setting a bevel. But I don't plan on doing anything like that.

As for te other stones once I got my coti I haven't been using anything else.

I've been thinking bout getting another natural stone to go above the coti but don't really knowwhat I should go for.

After the coti try either the Escher/Thuringian or the Japanese naturals. If you can find/afford them!

I would love an echer or thurigan but way to expensive for me.

As for the Japanese stones they are quite cheap are they not?

I've seen some posts around here linking to some sites with some not bad prices with the japanese stones.
