Do You Have a Chinese 12K? (Poll)
I was thinking of getting a Chinese 12K from the Bay. I guess I just wanted to see how many people had one.
I'd appreciate it if you could vote.
Cheers,

I've got enough other naturals that I've never really been tempted with a C12k. I'd like to try one (heck, I'd like to try every hone, razor, strop, soap and brush at least once!), but just not enough to spend the money on one lol..!
I've heard good things though, and the thread that Glen linked is a must read if you're thinking of getting one.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanked: 235Don't have one, but of course I want one. I want one of every hone. And if there are slight variations between each hone, then I want one of them too.

I do have one and like it. Maybe I was lucky and got a good one forst time around. I don't know. While I do have Eschers and Coticules I tend to use the CK12 on harder steel razors such as German and American. I do a lot of laps on the CK12, but then again I do a lot of laps on all of my natural finishers but with barley any pressure. I shoot for the weight of the blade after the first few strokes.

Thanked: 4942I have two of them.
I am thinking about growing "Chiapet" grass on them...........they have just been sitting forever except for the occasional experiment or technical inquisition..........
They remain a can do stone that is not expensive in my opinion. Not a bad stone if you don't mind figuring out whether you need 30 or 50 or 100 strokes to get you there.
Have fun,
Lynn

I have one. They're cheap, so had to see what they were like. I just never reach for it. It makes no sense to me to use it over the Thuringian.
They are great stones for the money though. If you only hone occasionally, you don't really need another finisher. I only have others due to a period of HAD, which I managed to get control of by embracing my RAD.
