It is all Market and demands.
One day number of straight razors will go so high and companies will start making stones for us only.

I'm using the Norton hones and a Chinese 12K. My Norton setup is a 1K/8K and a single 4K. You're not going to be honing with a 1K and 8K back to back, so I've always got two stones ready to go with no flipping back and forth. That 1K/8K isn't the easiest to find, but it's handy if you're using Nortons.

I find the Naniwa Super 800/5k and 3k/8k to meet exactly what we,
the razor honers, need
