    Default got an old stone

    hey,

    could someone recognize this stone?



    when i got this it was very dark brown of the heavy use i think. i started to lap it and it got that color in the picture. it seems to be pretty hard.

    How coarse is it when compared to known grits?

    Dont Rallye know it. I think between 3k and 6k.

    Looks like an Arkansas, my guess would be soft Arkansas.

    Washita with grit about 800-1000. But I can be wrong.

    I have a stone that looks exactly like it. Great bevel setter. I think it's a soft ark because it was badly dished out when I got it.
