Cool, I favour naturals predominantly also. I will say they are pretty much useless at bevel setting. It is possible, but what can be done in under 10 minutes with the correct combination of synthetics can take an hour to several using naturals...for everything above and including 4K ish level, naturals more than suffice. For me, in my opinion, yadayadaya

A small hint to honing, following what Scipio just told you...

Get a 1k synthetic hone, honest it will make a huge difference in the leaning curve, and they are cheap...

Every one that hones will agree on one thing, Bevel Bevel Bevel, to hone a razor you have to have a good bevel... After that you can pretty much head off into the weeds with what ever you want... But if you don't start with a good bevel honing a razor is at best, frustrating...

Yup, everybody yearns for the ultimate finisher, but the search for the ultimate bevel setter is going to do you more good. Fortunately, they are much cheaper too!

Naniwa 1K is great for bevels and I would recommend having one just incase you get frustrated setting a bevel on an natural.

Luckily my coticule can set bevels rather easily but I do use my naniwa 1K when I want to set the bevel quickly.
