Default What colour is this Escher?

vtg ESCHER Razor Sharpening Hone WATER Stone antique 6" - eBay (item 230538523458 end time Oct-21-10 18:40:16 PDT)

Nice price for an (other) Escher, but what colour would you class it as? Green or grey?

Looks the same as my Barber's Delight, but photos are all I have at this stage and they can be misleading...

It does have a green hint to it, so I'd call Y/G.

I wasnt sure if it was Green or Yellow Green, call me pedantic but I just need to know.

Sham posted a Barber's Delight the other day that was the most green example I have ever seen. Whether it was the lighting I do not know, but it was pea green.

Depends on a person's monitor, but it is two toned, so that's great!

Those two toned Eschers are cool. Especially if the label can be soaked off and the happy owner can experiment with each side. IME some of the Escher labels will be easily removed and others are on to stay. That stone looks to be a Y/G or Light Green on the lighter side and maybe a blue/green on the thin darker portion.

playing with the colors a little can make it look different. since the images in the ad are too bright/overexposed or both, I can't really tell what it is supposed to be

so maybe another question could be: what color is the background towel?

They are all gray. Nuances of tint and shade differentiate the colors with the dark blue being the most obvious. The 'clean clouds' is an interesting comparison/analogy. I don't know how to describe mine. The blue/green is darker than a light green which is ,in my case, a neutral gray. The yellow/green, two of them, are a lighter gray than the light green with a definite yellowish tint which manifests itself more when wet. All are exceptional razor finishing hones IME.

Hey Jimmy, you should add the Escher logo to your tattooing repertoire!
