    I don't know what the large one is but I think the smaller one may be a frictionite. A barber hone of some kind for sure.

    Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
    How about the last one ( the very last picture). It is a
    different hone than the Frictionate.

    I don't know what that last one is. Did you lap the grunge off of the first one ? Do that with the first and the last and post side pix again and it will be easier to tell what you've got. If the first one has a slate back it is probably a coticule. I don't believe any other stones have slate backs and I've had one that was a creamy and consistent green. Sold it on ebay years ago.

    Hi Bud and Jimmy;
    Ok guys... this is it. All scrubbed and flattened. They appear lighter in the pics than they are. I put the stones next to their slurry. Also I added a couple pics in the sunlight. Yes.. it stopped raining here finally.
    Thanks again!!

    The one on the wood does look like an Arkansas. Maybe a translucent Arkie ? The short one is still a barber hone. How about a side shot of the one with the slate bottom, unless it was one of the two I just mentioned .

    Interesting. I've never seen one like that. Maybe it ain't an Arkansas Someone more expert than me needs to chime in. Lynn or Sham maybe. A_S could probably tell you too.

    The stone in the wooden box could be an Arkansas but the swirls and speckles remind me of ToS hones like the ones here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/hones...tml#post628100

    Could you show the 'slate' side as well?
