    Default Old Hone

Has anyone heard of a hone made by The Corrugated Hone Co.? I have one that came in a razor lot. It has the company name stamped on one edge and Minneapolis, Minn stamped on the other. The hone measures 2x3&1/2x3/8. It is black but I can see little shinny particles in it. It feels pretty smooth so I do plan to test it next time I do any hone work.

From the size it sounds like a barber hone? Any chance of some pics of the hone and the makers marks?

Here are some pics on the hone. Those little white spots are the shinny particles.

The only way that I have heard of that company is from having the same hone. My barber hones are all boxed up now for a move but if I remember correctly, the hone is quite soft. Unfortunately that all I remember. I like to hone a razor with an unknown barber hone and then look at the edge under a microscope, but I don't recall how this one performed.
