Thanked: 14Old Hone
Has anyone heard of a hone made by The Corrugated Hone Co.? I have one that came in a razor lot. It has the company name stamped on one edge and Minneapolis, Minn stamped on the other. The hone measures 2x3&1/2x3/8. It is black but I can see little shinny particles in it. It feels pretty smooth so I do plan to test it next time I do any hone work.

From the size it sounds like a barber hone? Any chance of some pics of the hone and the makers marks?

Thanked: 3795The only way that I have heard of that company is from having the same hone. My barber hones are all boxed up now for a move but if I remember correctly, the hone is quite soft. Unfortunately that all I remember. I like to hone a razor with an unknown barber hone and then look at the edge under a microscope, but I don't recall how this one performed.
