Default John Primble Barber Hone is a go!

I received today my J.Primble barber hone from TheRestoredRazor.com, and gave it about 6 laps with soapy water on it, rinsed, dried, and gave it 2 laps on dry. A couple of laps on my new SRD strop, and I was good to go.

My DOVO best, which I was having problem bringing back to sharpness with my 1 micron diamond paste was in need of something stronger. The edge is sharp and smooth. I might give it another go to see if I can make it sharper, but for now it's at a very smooth and sharp edge.

So if you're bemoaning the lack of Swatys around, go for a Primble!

John Primble razors and hones were excellent. I won a John Primble hone on eBay once, in the original tattered Primble box, which turned out to be a combi coticule/BBW. Pleasant surprise and great hone! Congratulations.
