    Default Shaptons need some advice

My sister bought me a 1K yellow ceramic shaptons from tokyu hands recently and all the instructions are in japanese.

I saw on the SRD site that they are saying that you dont need to soak the stones, that you just need to spray water on. Would this be the same for all types of shapton's hones?

+1 what Sham said. The Yellow 1k will drink much water when starting up, so I just wet it down good with tap water and keep a spray bottle handy as it begins to soak up the water. The 1k, 1.5k and the 2k are all awesome bevel setters. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Good luck.
