    Did they have a hone stand at the flea market, or did you just drop $1,000 bucks on new hones?

    lol no some where around 3-5 grand i have threads on natural and synthetic hones

    YUP you are truly hard core, I whined around for awhile about spending 177 on the timber tools Thurrigan,and that was a huge improvement to what I already had(Norton's,and a C12,and a coti bout. But you are DEFINATLY the guy to ask, are they all different, and are some not really good for razors,something you can only know after using them,and if so which ones would you have not bought if you could go back and do it over?

    soft arks can be to bevel set i have used a diamond hone 325 grit to set a bevel on a wedge the translucents and surgical black , ceramic , and the charnley forest can be used to finish i like stone knives and razors i tell my wife i have no habits so i invest in hobbies
