Thanked: 2New guy needs to sharpen his own equipment, help!
So I need some help here people! I'm in a position of exhausting the free sharpenings from my barber, and need to buy a sharpening stone. Where do I begin? I've read too much on these threads here, and have no idea where to begin.

And so, dear readers, we conclude this thread, a testament to a shaver on a quest to become a honer. And once again we see the power of the Wiki, that sacred place where information is compiled and stored carefully by the Elders. There newbies on whatever quest they may be on, the search for the elusive BBS, the attempt to identify that flea market hone, or trying to find a way to rehabilitate grandpa's strop, find the information they need and move on enriched, knowledgeable and well-skilled. The hallowed Wiki, source of all true knowledge and wisdom, brings another newbie into the light. Blessed is the Wiki!
