DrNaka, could this be another way of referring to "Kobatome", or double bevel as we call it here? Iwasaki Kousuke-san called it "Ha tome" in his manual.
It was me who said "hamaguri ba" and Iwasaki san nodded.
I think if the "kobatome" or "ha tome" is blend together it is called "hamaguriba".

The most important thing in this discussion is that the edge angle must be changed to the skin and beard.

It will also be a reason that best HHT will not result in best shave.
Best HHT is achieved by small angle straight edge but if you have soft skin and hard beard a wider angle and convex edge would give you better shave.
