I was going to pick up one of these when I remembered:
-this machine is nowhere near as accurate as my perfect vision and my own ingenuity
-$15,000 will purchase a LOT of hones
-this will do nothing to pay back the hundreds of thousand of dollars that I am accumulating in student loans, besides when would I have the time?

Thats cool! I once saw a video of a guy in Thiers and he had a setup like that, Old School! By checking your link,It seems the one you have in the original post is the "honer" ! Check out the "Grinder" Wow!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 443Is this one of those survey threads? OK, I don't have one. I do have a neat grinder for machine tools, though, is that worth partial credit?

Thanked: 2209ok, ok, I can take it!
That thing caught my attention about 5+ years ago! I do have the treadmill motor and variable speed control for it and various hydraulic cyclinders etc. But what is happeneing is that I am trying to talk Dresden & Geezer into building me a traditional razor dual wheel hollow grinder like in the Dovo & TI videos! They said they could do it!
But Dresden first wants to build one of the drop forges and the dies for the razor blanks. Charlie Lewis volunteered to build the forge and Mike Blue will build the salt pots for heat treating!Last edited by randydance062449; 06-21-2011 at 11:23 PM.

Thanked: 3795Of course, if a used one comes up at auction anytime, anyplace, everybody needs to just step back and let him have it. It'll be easier on us all that way.
