Ok so probably a 8-10k slate. Oldengaerde has a Yellow Lake that sparkles a lot, he made a video of it. I don't know if he ever tested how fine it was.

It have definitely some sparkles but not a lot. They are all different and maybe my coticule that is not so fine. I will get some more soon anyway and more Yellow Lakes too with labels and will give a better test

Did any one have seen that label before ??
So fare very fast cutting, slurry get black very easy, grit rate is the finest of all my Western Nats ! It is very hard stone glass like. But not harder then Arkansas or Turkish but very close !
That little stone wight 450 g.
size: 175mm 40mm 19mm

Thanked: 202It is hard to find YL with labels. I have one (from Salmensand even that bone does not say that bit is YL. I do have other YL even from Salmens an have to say that grit can quite vary.

A_S posted useful information in a Silkstone thread. There was also a stone advertised as CF at Ebay that looked similar to the Silkstone posted in that thread.
