Back on topic if I may.
I have recently bought one of these traveller sized Oozuku's from Maxim, and I must say it is a wonderful little tool.
Perfect for touch.ups and finishing after regular honing.
    Very nice hone IMO
Congrats eleblu05, I think you are gonna be thrilled with it's performance.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I got mine yesterday and it's a great! It's an Ozuku Asagi with a hardness of 4,5 to 5 according to Makism, came lapped and ready to go! That's €40 well spent.

Mine is 4.5 to 5 according to Maksim.
I've had a chance to play around with it a couple times now, last night I just did about 50 laps starting with a little tomo nagura slurry, diluting little by little and ending on clear water. Turned out just okay.
New try today, started with tenjou nagura slurry for around 30 laps, then tomo nagura slurry for 20-ish laps, dilute and 20 more, ended with 30-40 on water. Turned out much better! Sharp and very very smooth, my cheeks feels like I never really shaved, yet almost BBS with a quick ATG and XTG. Thumbs up for J-nats!

I am tempted to buy a traveler oozuku from maxim too, but I am a bit hesitant. I am debating between the razor size for ~€120 and traveler size for €40. Would I get any improvement over a nani 12k, or it would be just different? I will use it with water after the nani 12k, or I will buy a tomonagura for it, and use it after the 8k nani with slurry, and clear water after, I don't really know yet.

A hope someone can help me a bit to help me out of this trouble

you should get better edge than 12k SS with those stones.

A larger one sure is easier to use, but I do quite fine with my traveller too.
Lately I have gotten the best results using it all the way with slurry, never diluting or finishing on clear water.

At a certain point usually after the 10-16k I tend to say you get different results, not better ones.
But on this one I have to agree. I do get better results from my Shoubudani and Nakayama after Shapton 16k, Shapton Pro 12k or Naniwa SS 10k.
If you are in the market for a great finisher an Ohzuku is perfect.
These are available at a very nice price and top notch.

Your edges will not benefit *much* from bigger stones. But bigger stones are easier to use.
If you are comfortable with narrow stones or if you are on a budget there will be nothing wrong with the traveler size.
But since you probably are going to love your Ohzuku for a long time you might as well invest into something more special and get the razor size.
I myself am currently waiting for my second stone from Maksim in only two months (he´s making me poor but happy), an Ohzuku Asagi in 200x70 (the real big ones) because I was so highly impressed
with the Shoubudani I bought even in comparison to my Nakayama Kiita Maruka/Maruichi that cost almost double the price (although both are outstanding, to be honest)

To me the traveller is a sufficient 'razor size.' I dont have any jnats, but am considering adding a traveller to my collection.

I have a traveller oozuko from maxim. I don't know it's ins and outs yet but it seems to cut fast with slurry. I took it with me on a trip out west and touched up a few razors for my pals. The size is limiting but doesn't feel too small, I enjoy holding stones in my hands now a days.
I need more experience with it to really know whether or not I would prefer the edge from it to an edge off my Asagi. Great little stone!
