brand New to This!
I am being offered a sweet deal on this stone however I know nothing about what i need for a straight... This says excellent for precise sharpening, also made in japan (if that helps), but I want to hone right. just let me know what you think of it, one side is stone the other is soft and powdery.

if thats the original box it came in then that stone is no good for razors only knives (silicon carbide)
