I don't see any reason to get a Jnat if it is an inferior finisher to my existing stones.
€40 for a Ozuku Traveler from Maxim207, mine is 140x40mm, killer deal.

I think I will have to contact Maxim after dealing with SWMBO, that price sounds very reasonable. I think I will have to sell a stone to get permission for a new one

Okay, I have to modify that reply, I put on a pencil grid on the C-Nat and ran it on the DMT 325 to check how flat it really was, and a circle formed in the middle, clearly it wasn't flat at all. 2 hours later on the DMT it's finally flat....
I'll save the BBW polishing for another day....

Blix, thanks for the post. What colour is yours? I read these can
be blue and dull gray, no blueish tint, with slight dark grain in them.

Here's mine, pictured with the BBW side of a coticule. Mine is pretty much dark grey.
Just like my J-Nat, it's reflective when you look at the surface at around a 10º angle.

Thanks for the answer Blix. If I may ask, What are those white lines on your
chinese stone? Could you take a close up pic if you have time?

    Thanks.

    Here's a close-up

Now the flash makes it looks ragged as hell, but the stone is super smooth. What those white lines are, I have no idea.

    Thnx Blix.

Could that be the abrasive that was used to flattten
the stone by the company that sells them? It doesn't
look like it is the stone itself, but like it has been imbedded.

Yes, I understand it is a natural stone, but they get flattened a bit
    before they are sold.

Those little white dots, I have had that with other stone when I used loose
grit or sometimes sandpaper to flatten them. They would embed themselves
and it would take about an hour with a poor diamond plate to create new layer.
    Then these spots would disappear.

You could be right though and it be natural, but it looks like somebody used a
brush with some white paint, does not look natural to me.
