    Naniwa's instructions say to soak the stone for 15 minutes or so. Not being in a hurry, and having found that following mfg's instructions is usually the best policy, that is what I do. So far so good.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    You need to soak the hone, not just spray.
