    Default Amalgamite Non-Corrodible Razor Hone

I had the need to buy something last night on eBay and ended up getting a Amalgamite Non-Corrodible Hone.

I have read that they are not a bad hone, it looks in good condition although all the threads i found on this. the hone was more of a yellow color.

can anyone tell me more about this one? Grit etc? Also is this and oil hone or water hone?

It's a typical barber's hone. You would use water on it. I don't know the grit of this one however most barbers hones are finishers though there are some that are not.

I'm sure someone will come along with direct experience with this one. Otherwise you will have to experiment with it.
