Default Kotobuki King 250+1000/K-80 Combo any good for razors

well my first water stone i ever got i used for my knifes and etc. I have also used it to fixed my razors when the got really beat up, or i wanted to reset the bevel. However i gave it to my brother for his camping trip and my brother lost it in the wilderness, so i am pretty annoyed and i am tight on cash, and i found this water stone that is for about 25 bucks "Kotobuki King 250+1000/K-80 Combo" unlink my old stone it has a 250 grit,, mine only had 1000 grit. Would this be a good choice, i have the norton 4/8 k stone, but i don't really want to spend that much money on the 200/1000 grit norton stone, cuz i won't use it as much. So please give me your thoughts or advice

The King 220/1k is a pretty good 1k, and it's a pretty cheap stone. IMO, the 220 side is of no use for razors, but getting the combo saves you money over the single grit 1k version. And unless you do a lot of bevel setting, you probably don't need to worry about wearing through the 1k side.

I'm not sure if this is the same King hone you are referring to, but the one I'm talking about can be had at Woodcraft for about $20 I think.

There are a couple of highly regarded Honers that use a 1k King stone. Gssixgun is one of them.
They are cheap, quick and do the job. You might want to look for a standalone 1.000 King,
since the 250's side won´t be of much use for your razors.
The single 1ks usually don´t cost more and you get more stone for the money.
Make sure to keep the stone flat frequently
