    Default Waterloo hone????

    Has anyone heard of or used a Waterloo hone? I have found a 1000/8000 combo for around $50. Is this about right, are they worth a s#*t, etc.

    Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    1000/8000 doesn't sound like a very useful combo to me. It'd take you forever at 8000 to smooth out the 1000 scratch pattern.

    That's all the input I've got; don't know the brand.
