    Default Natural Stone Hones

These are 26x3x1.5CM each. I can see old metal streaks from past use. Not thinking razors but most likely knives?

    thanks for looking...

    Could've been agricultural use, too.

Definitely not for razors. A hone for razors needs to be fine and flat - although this could be flattened it looks like round hones that I have seen used to sharpen knifes. Im not even sure if that is natural. Bottom line, don't put your razors anywhere near it.

They look like sandstone scythe sharpenners.

Exactly what I was thinking, although I've only seen them in videos.

In the US, those scythe stones are usually cigar shaped or somewhat tapered on the ends.

But that doesn't mean that everyone used a "purchased" or purpose made one. That was my thinking suggesting it could be agricultural - scythes, hooks, etc.

The ag folks always got nasty looking coarse sharpening tools compared to the tradesmen.
