My rule of thumb is, if the seller description confuses me, I move on...

If you are new to honing, treat yourself to success and save money in the long run. start with Nortons, Nanis or shaptons and learn on reliable and consistant stones and get the best shaves.

If you want to venture into Jnats talk to vendors who can work with you, believe me you will save money and time. Many of us than care to admit learned the hard way. Best of luck.

Pretty much any high grit stone can be used to do everything, but learning to make one stone do everything is the tricky part, especially if you don't yet know what a good bevel, or shave ready, or a nicely finished edge looks/feels like.
