As it turns out, my next Jnat is an Oozuku after all--just purchased!
Level 5+ and an absolute beauty to boot! Can. Not. Wait. Big thanks to Maksim!

I almost purchased that stone about 3 times! I got half way through and though... no, i shouldn't... my fiance will kill me! I was so close from getting it yesterday!

Really nice blog, Alex! Found the Nakayama "mine entrance" as it were on the map site you link to!
Do you know if there are any pics of other mine entrances/tailings piles, etc anywhere on the interwebs? I figured they would be all fenced off, but maybe somebody took photos... I found one pic, claiming to be inside the Nakayama mine taken by a high volume dealer we generally don't mention by name here, but otherwise not much.

My Oozuku came today!!!!
Had to leave 5 min after the DHL guy showed up to go shoot a fireworks show, but had time to chamfer the tomonagura. Can't wait to start playing with it! Just for fun, has anyone gone straight from a Norton to one of these (mine's level 5+, so super hard & fine)? I was planning to use my coticule as a prepolisher first, but I want to try direct once just to see.

I like to use mejiro after 8-10k synthetic, before I use tomonagura.Stefan
