    Mike, I had a big Hohenzollern that was that color. I don't have any photos and I sold the stone a year or so ago but it was way darker than a dark blue and turned black when you put the water to it. So quite likely Escher made some too.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
