I just noticed your in Miami - I was staying in Surfside last week. Wish you'd posted a week ago!
I'm really not sure. You estimate 5-7K level but you say very very smooth. It doesn't look like an India Oil stone, but I have only seen the yellow/orange variety. I would have guessed natural by the looks, but the pics lack clarity. 8 X 2 X 1'' is quite a uniform size for synthetic bench hones. Would you say it was a natural?

when i get home tonight i will get it set up with lights and a steady stand for the camera.....
it would have been nice to meet you last week.... i work at the Miami International Airport..... anyone flying in or out of here sun-thurs between the hours of 2pm-10pm let me know i would love to run upstairs to say hello....
