I have one very similar which is a Lynn Idwall. Tams can also look similar.

Looking at it again, I'd suggest it was a Tam. Although they can be similar to the example of the Idwal which I gave, yours has far more speckles. One way, although not conclusive, of spotting a Tam is its squarish cross section. What is the thickness of the hone. Have you had the chance to lap and test it yet?

Yes, as a matter of fact, its squarish cross, thickness is 1 1/2 inch like the widht.
At this point I can be relative sure which is a Tam.
I have lapped with Dmt 325 and sandpaper 600 grit, but I havent tested.
Thank Scipio, your help is much appreciated.

Most likely a Tam. Others may chime in. I believe this is a Tam.

But I'm not sure this on right side be a Lynn Idwall, looks me like a Tam from Carrol Ironworks Stirlingshire,
maybe Neil can confirm.

Yes, can be the same stone. What do you think about this stone ? What grit range you suppose its?
Maybe we have a unknow type of stone which goes all crazy here.
