Hi everybody,
I got this stone and have no idea what is it the name or origin of this hone.
Dim are 205 x 55 x 17 , medium hard , puts nice finish.

Looks like an Arkansas with a pit in it.

Looks like a stone that I have that I'm still not sure what it is. My stone has pits to but on the sides. http://straightrazorpalace.com/hones...any-ideas.html

well louis your stone looks like it was used with alot of oil . if you were to boil it not at 212 but around 180 degrees it would remove all of the oil out of that stone and reveal the true color of the stone looking at your stone from the side and seeing the banding or rings it looks to be a Hindostan but i would try to clean it up a bit more

+1 to eleblu05 -- need a side view -- my first thought was a misused glued coticule -- but stone ID isn't my forte.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.
