    Default Chinese Stones

I bought four Chinese stones from Woodcraft because of the half price sale. I already had one that has the small brown 1/4 inch vein markings. Two of the new stones have the long brown vein markings and the other two have no brown markings. I have flattened one of the gray stones and it still does not have any brown veins showing. Has anyone had any experience with the solid gray stones?

I've got a solid grey one. I've had really good luck using a slurry dilution for finishing. light-medium slurry at ten laps, dilute a little with ten laps, repeat until clear water then 15 laps. I really like this stone as a finisher.
