Seems I need to update my pics, these are the only 2 pics I could find :/
The oohira I got from Hida Tool in Berkley years ago and I love it for refreashing an edge, a few more lapps on the asagi and it's off the the ready shelf. I need a few more stones but they will have to await better times.
Very generous gift from my stone seller :)
I got it from him on my trip to Japan !!
That one is lv 5+ for sure but need to test it more

I could live with a present like that! :)
I just love looking at the stones in this thread. I find myself browsing it quite often in order to drool.
Just got this one from Maksim who estimates the grit at 15k to 18k which will be used as a pre-polisher before my Nakayama Maruichi [ 30k to 40k ].
It will be glued to a wood base and lacquered. It feels very smooth to the touch. We will definitely try to shave directly off this stone just for fun.

and yes, that's right, I let my coti's and jnat sleep together. Hopefully they'll have a little naticule baby :dropjaw:
I'm going to have to go with BRICK on that one lol. Took me a while to get used to this stone. But now I feel good with it. I have lapped off the kenji but have no worries as I don't intend on getting rid of it. As always I take pics of my stones before lapping them so I have a record.
