This is mine. It came lapped on both sides so I can use the side without the Kanji and keep the Kanji alive. Got it from So Yamash*ta, great guy, before the prices went sky high, i.e. before Lynn started playing with them.
My one only J-Nat.Shoubudani Asagi. A fantastic finisher from Maxim.

Ozuku Asagi, Tenjyou Nagura and two Tomo Naguras. The middle Nagura makes a slurry fairly quick, the right one takes forever. And yes, the lower right corner just chipped, I guess these are a bit more fragile than I thought, I'll try and take better care of it... :gaah:
Done, thank you Alx.
Here is a Nakayama Maruka Asagi,
It just arrived, so I haven't tried it out yet.
Lapping will be done tonight:)

@Blazinrazor: I am sending you a PM regarding J-Nats, if you still need some advice (other than that you would get from an honorable vendor).
I have posted these before but I will probably not get tired of sharing these pictures
Attachment 77468
- Nakayama Kiita, with Nashiji and Maruka/Maruichi and Nihon Kamisori stamp
- Ozuku Asagi with light green, very hard
- Shoubudani dark Asagi, very hard and smooth
A little more in depth information can be found here.

The first picture shows my japanese naturals collection.
From left to right we have the following stones:
- Suita Kiita, for sharpening kitchen knives
- Oohira Asagi, with light green
- Nakayama Kiita, excellent fineness
- Shoubudani Asagi, probably my personal favourite
And these Nagura, or rubbing stones
- Two large medium fine stones (brwon-red and light asagi)
- Uchigomori Suita (on top of the bigger light asagi)
- Tsushima Nagura, the black square one (medium-fine)
- Asano Mejiro Nagura, quite fine
- Two Tomonagura, the black chip and the blue greenish one
Also attached: the bevel after 1µm lapping film and 100 laps on the Ozuku. The overall polish is still very good!
Ah yes, of course! I will edit my post accordingly :)
Last one for today :D

This is my Ozuku Asagi 155mm 50mm 20mm, prefect size for me. I use it solely as a finisher with a tomo nagura. Still playing with it but I'm getting some very nice results so far. Here is a pick before lapping.
The only one I have so far! Nakayama Asagi, bought from Stefan....
Once Alex returns from Japan I will have more!
With one of my favorite razors.
I bring my solitary J-nat to the thread, a Nakayama Asagi that I got from a friend and fellow SRP member some months back. Puts a superb finished edge on an already shave ready razor. Using his photos to me because I'm too lazy to take new ones and couldn't do better anyhow. The stone is 4" at the widest point and 6" at the longest :)Attachment 77540Attachment 77541
This one is a Nakayama Midori Nashiji. possibly from the Tomae Stratum for all you J-HAD freaks that might mean stuff, for me it means I like the stone, after I tried it out... :D
Size is just under 8 inchs long x just over 2 3/4 inches wide :)
I use it only for finishing, I have used it with a couple of different Nagura but honestly the best results for me come with using it with it's own slurry generated by using a DMT 325 and letting that go to almost dry as I hone...

That is a great looking stone and if I am not mistaken it is a tomae strata stone and I am sure it is an old stock asagi with that fine complex color scheme leading to a vague green tint on a grey overcast. Here is a photo that shows some variation in the color group.

Here is my humble submission to the club.
Left is an Oozuko Traveller, very fast and hard. Still dialing in the possibilities.
Right is my Nakayama Asagi (?) which is medium fast but oh so smooth an edge. Don't let the odd shape fool you. This is my finest stone and one I hope to learn from for decades.
In the back are my nagura team: from left to right, Botan Mejiro,Tenjyo, Koma, and a kiita tomonagura.
I have lots of fun with these and highly recommend anyone interested in studying, learning, and practicing the art of honing, to get a natural stone. Even if it's a coticule which, as I learned just tonight, is nothing to sneeze at.
Jimmy
That looks like a particularly fine and pure stone, if it is a fast cutter then you have a winner all the way. alx
For those of you who know me, it would be no surprise that I have a few stones laying around my hotel room. Here are two chunks that fell into my lap. Alx p.s. Please visit my blog at TheJapanBlade with a new post about the Umegahata region of Kyoto.

my latest one, Nakayama with kamisori stamp, a very nice asagi with kan , with yellow/blue colors. When whet it looks green.
In process of getting to know it right now.

Finally got time to take pics of some more stones:
#1 A big botan nagura
#2 my go to Shobudani Asagi prepolisher
#3 Unknown ~3k stone, very nice on kamisoris, too slow for anything else.
#4 Aizu- this one is superb stone 1-3k range, very fast cutter
#5 Aizu, I use the back as lapping plate for the softer natural, the stone is very hard for such low grit
#6 Hideriyama - ~6k range , can be used as intermediate before a prepolisher
#7 Yaginoshima Asagi
#8,9 -Atagoyama Kiita , a true #24 size stone, which is my finest prepolisher, the black lines are not cracks.
those stones are HUGE!
