Thanked: 19Maxim strikes again....
I think this is a great prepolisher (Oozuku) - I love this thing:
Oozuku sunashi suita finisher - extremely fine and hard:
Group buy through Telly a while back (Meijiro, left; Koma, right):

Woodash
Are you sure that on the first photo you have correct white balance?

Thanked: 19^ Beats me! I see what you mean. Pics taken a while back and there was a big difference in sunlight that must have manifest with no flash. The prepolisher is a green to greenish-gray - perhaps showing lighter in the pic. The finisher very close to correct color rendition - high Fe-oxide content with greens and grays. It is one hard sumbtch, but really throws an edge over the top.

Thanked: 19^ This looks a little more tan than it actually is, but I appreciate the effort.

@Traskrom: what do you use a colorchecker for?

In digital photography "color" depends of so many factors, that majority of people doesn’t even aware and care about. Correct white balance, right color temperature, available light, you name it. When you look at the picture, you never know is this real color or just the color your camera can produce. Two posts above is the real example of it. To show exact color of your stone you have to use some tools which can give you at least 99% accuracy. Color checker is one of them.
X-Rite: Get exactly the color you need, every time, anywhere in the world.
