Hello , I bought this on Ebay, I am thinking is a natural stone, any toughts on what type?
Is 9 ' long and no other description.

Hard to say. I'm assuming the seller didn't say ? Off the top of my head the first thing I thought of was a black hard Arkansas. Not sure though.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Hello Livio,
You might try cleaning/lapping it up and then post another pic from directly overhead. It reminds me of my surgical black Arkansas. Get all scratches out and give a better description. Is it smooth like glass or grainy? Rub an old knife blade or scrap on it and see if it will polish or grind. That's all I can say at this point.
I use my Arkansas all the time for refreshing an edge. Good luck.

whats the true color of that stone it looks purple from the pic ,and is that white scratchs on top of the stone ? how does the stone smell ? what color is the slurry ?and whats the bottom of the stone look like ?
