Decided to go with the Naniwa 12k. Ordered it today! I almost bought the Naniwa lapping stone but I figured since I won't be using it more than a few times a year I could just do the sandpaper on countertop trick. Anybody have a favorite grit of paper they use? Figured 320 would do the trick.

Thanked: 0thank you everyone for your input, it was a lot of help. And gssixgun, I would have loved to make it, but unfortunately I'm only 19 and have just moved out on my own, meaning that I'm almost dirt poor and have very little extra time lol. But I thank you very mouch for the offer, hopefully I'll be able to mae it another time.
