    Default Help with Stone Identification

I picked up this stone recently and it was labeled as a "greenstone." The stone is dense and has an almost like glass finish when wet. It slurries up with a grayish-white slurry.

So hone experts, what are we looking at?

The top two photos are dry; the bottom two photos have a light misting.

I have to say, whenever you don't know what a stone is, if it's hard and transparent, it will be Llyn idwal. This one looks like an Idwal too. They are from very dark to almost white with similar strange shapes in them. Yours is a nice one. And it will last several lifetimes.
