ezpz, that's Llyn Melynllyn or Yellow Lake. Maxim once posted a little purple slate which had green inclusions.
Looking at the second image I doubt it's a Vosgienne but who knows. I sure would be jealous if it is Too bad the close-ups are out of focus. Based on these pictures it could still be anything, BBW, Welsh slate or Vosgienne.

Thanked: 4249Update after the lapping was all done i took a shave ready razor, looked at the edge under magnification and did 20 strokes on this hone and looking under the 30X loupe definately and improvement for sure, that razor was finished on a PHIG.
