First one is a Norvell Shapleigh Hardware & Co. "Diamond Edge" hone. This was my Grandfathers old hone. A few chips around the edges but still serviceable and pretty flat. I have used it for 20+ years with oil on small pocket knives. Not sure if that is correct or if it should be used with water? It is extreemly hard and very fine. Puts a razor edge on my old Case & Buck knives with no problem. Any commonts on this one, looks alot like a Swaty from what I can tell from pics of them? Is this supposed to be used with water or oil? The smaller white one is a ceramic "surgical hone" I got 15 yrs. ago, been using it with oil as well. Very fine polished edges from this one.

Next is a Pike American "Swaty". Kind of rough with chips. Doesn't look like its been used very much and needs lapped to clean & get rid of the chips. I have no knowledge of this hone other than it looks very much like the "Diamond Edge" above in color & texture?

Last, is the "Swift & Sure" Hone. Again I have no knowledge of this hone. I got it on e-prey for $5. It is in excellent condition (never been used it appears), is gray / green on the front side, black on the back and a two layer hone for sure. Any thoughts on this one?
