Thanked: 1936My first question for you is how long have you been shaving? I ask this because you need to get that down first & foremost.
Once you have shaving down, then I concur what the gentlemen have said about touching up a razor with the 12K or a barber stone & moving down in "grit" as your honing skills progress.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanked: 11It looks like a good solid setup to me. If you plan on buying razor from ebay, flea markets, etc. a 1k or some other lower grit will make life much easier, but I wouldnt worry about that until the time comes.
